1 Overview & Core Philosophy

Linkpulse ("we," "our," or "us") provides a browser extension and web service designed to assist B2B founders, sales professionals, and growth teams in discovering high-intent buying signals from their LinkedIn feed.

We believe that modern B2B growth relies on genuine human relationships rather than intrusive spam or aggressive account scraping. Our product architecture is strictly aligned with this philosophy: we analyze visible feed content locally in your browser to highlight high-intent leads while empowering you to reach out manually.

Core Privacy Promise

We do not sell your personal data, we do not scrape LinkedIn account credentials, and we never use your data or sales criteria to train public AI models.

2 Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum necessary information required to deliver and optimize Linkpulse services:

A. Account & Profile Information

When you create an account or sign up for Linkpulse, we collect:

  • Contact details: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Sales & Targeting Criteria: Custom ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) parameters, target keywords, industry filters, and scoring rules you configure.
  • Subscription & Billing details: Payment records and subscription status (processed securely through Stripe).

B. Chrome Extension Operational Data

When the Linkpulse Chrome extension is active in your browser while viewing LinkedIn:

  • Rendered Feed Context: Text content, author names, post timestamps, and public engagement signals visible in your active LinkedIn browser window as you scroll.
  • Lead Metadata: Evaluation scores, notes, pipeline stages, and follow-up reminders saved explicitly by you.

C. Technical & Diagnostic Information

  • Device & Usage Data: Browser type, extension version, operating system, IP address, and anonymized performance metrics.

3 How We Use Information

We utilize the collected data strictly for the following operational purposes:

  • AI Lead Evaluation: Comparing visible LinkedIn feed posts against your custom ICP parameters to calculate intent scores.
  • Pipeline Management: Storing saved lead cards, status tags, and follow-up reminders in your personal workspace dashboard.
  • Customer Support & Onboarding: Diagnosing bug reports, responding to inquiries, and assisting with extension setup.
  • System Security & Improvements: Preventing fraud, monitoring extension performance, and delivering service updates.

4 AI Processing & Data Privacy

Linkpulse leverages advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to perform context-aware lead evaluation. We enforce strict data handling guidelines for all AI-driven features:

  • Zero Model Training: Your feed content, profile data, targeting criteria, and saved leads are NEVER used to train, retrain, or improve public AI models.
  • Data Minimization: Only short, anonymized text snippets required for Intent scoring are passed to AI evaluation endpoints.
  • Encrypted Processing: All data transmitted to AI sub-processors is encrypted using TLS 1.3 encryption in transit.

5 LinkedIn Account Safety & Non-Automation

A primary requirement for our users is maintaining a safe, uncompromised LinkedIn account. Linkpulse is intentionally engineered to operate safely:

Designed For Account Protection

Linkpulse functions strictly as a browser-side analytical overlay. It reads what is already visible in your active window and does NOT perform mass messaging, direct API scraping, automated connection requests, or bot-like operations on LinkedIn.

  • No Automated Outreach: Every connection request, direct message, or comment is initiated and written manually by you.
  • Local Browser Operation: Linkpulse does not store or request your LinkedIn account login password.
  • Human Pacing: Because you scroll your feed naturally, feed evaluation mirrors normal user browser activity.

6 Chrome Web Store Disclosures

In compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Agreement and User Data Policy:

  • Single Purpose: Linkpulse extension serves the sole purpose of analyzing LinkedIn feed content to surface lead intent for the active user.
  • Limited Use Disclosure: Linkpulse's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
  • Permission Justifications:
    • activeTab / host_permissions (https://*.linkedin.com/*): Enables the extension to render the lead scoring sidebar overlay and read visible post content when you visit LinkedIn.
    • storage: Used to retain extension state, user preferences, and session tokens locally in your browser.

7 Storage, Security & Retention

We implement robust administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption Standards: Data in transit is protected using HTTPS with TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
  • Data Retention: We store your pipeline leads and settings for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your personal data and saved lead pipeline are permanently purged from our primary database within 30 days.

8 Third-Party Service Providers

We never sell, rent, or monetize your personal data. We engage vetted sub-processors who assist us in operating our infrastructure under strict Data Processing Agreements:

  • Stripe: Payment processing & subscription management (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant).
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Secure cloud hosting and database infrastructure (AWS / Vercel / Cloudflare).
  • AI Processing: Enterprise LLM API providers (OpenAI Zero Data Retention Endpoints).

9 Your Data Rights & Choices

Depending on your location (including the European Economic Area under GDPR and California under CCPA), you possess specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access & Portability: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Update or correct inaccurate account information in your settings.
  • Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request the permanent deletion of your account and associated lead data.
  • Opt-Out Rights: Unsubscribe from non-essential promotional communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact our Data Protection team at privacy@linkpulse.ai.

10 Cookies & Local Storage

Linkpulse uses essential first-party cookies and browser local storage mechanisms to authenticate users, remember preferences, and maintain extension state. We do not use intrusive third-party tracking cookies or cross-site advertising trackers.

11 Updates & Contact Information

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product improvements, legal requirements, or operational changes. Material updates will be highlighted via email or notice within the Chrome Extension.
